1. This Order may be cited as the Prisons Act 1970 (Section 7) Order 2011.
2. The period of 24 months beginning on 28 June 2011 is specified for the purposes of
section 7
of the
Prisons Act 1970
(No. 11 of 1970).

I, ALAN SHATTER, Minister for Justice and Equality, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by
section 7
(1) of the
Prisons Act 1970
(No. 11 of 1970) (as adapted by the Justice (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 1997 (
S.I. No. 298 of 1997
)), and after consultation with the Visiting Committee to Saint Patrick’s Institution, hereby order as follows
