S.I. No. 455/2009 - Financial Measures (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 (Section 17) (Commencement) Order 2009

1. This Order may be cited as the Financial Measures (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 (Section 17) (Commencement) Order 2009.

2. I appoint 1 December 2009 as the day upon which

section 17

of the

Financial Measures (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009

(No. 14 of 2009) shall come into operation.

This order is made under

section 17

(2) of the

Financial Measures (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009

(the Act). Section 17 of the Act amends, via the Schedule to the Act, the

Credit Institutions (Financial Support) Act 2008

, to allow mainly for the extension of the period of financial support beyond 29 September 2010 by ministerial order.
