S.I. No. 423/2009 - Nursing Homes Support Scheme Act 2009 (Commencement) (Remaining Provisions) Order 2009

1. This Order may be cited as the Nursing Homes Support Scheme Act 2009 (Commencement) (Remaining Provisions) Order 2009.

2. In this Order “Act of 2009” means the

Nursing Homes Support Scheme Act 2009

(No. 15 of 2009).

3. The 27th day of October 2009 is appointed as the day on which the provisions of the Act of 2009, in so far as not already in operation, come into operation

The effect of this Order is to commence all remaining provisions of the

Nursing Homes Support Scheme Act 2009

. This enables the introduction of the scheme for all those in need of long-term residential care. The Nursing Homes Support Scheme is a scheme of financial support for people in need of long-term residential care.
