S.I. No. 193/2008 - Education and Science (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2008

1. This Order may be cited as the Education and Science (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2008.

2. The powers and duties of the Minister for Education and Science, conferred on him by or under—

(

a

) section 7(1)(

c

)(i) of the

Education Act 1998

(No. 51 of 1998), in so far as it relates to adult education, including educational disadvantage (within the meaning of that Act) among adults,

(

b

) section 7(1)(

c

)(ii) of the

Education Act 1998

in so far as it relates to transport services, and

(

c

) the

Education (Welfare) Act 2000

(No. 22 of 2000) (other than section 36 and the Schedule),

are delegated to Seán Haughey, Minister of State at the Department of Education and Science.
