S.I. No. 785/2007 - Infectious Diseases Maintenance Allowance (Increased Payment) Regulations, 2007

1. These regulations may be cited as the Infectious Diseases Maintenance Allowance (Increased Payment) Regulations, 2007.

2. Where a person is or becomes entitled to payment under sub-section (3) of

Section 44

of the

Health Act, 1947

in accordance with the Infectious Diseases (Maintenance Allowances) Regulations, 2007 (

S.I. No. 618 of 2006

), any amount so payable, in respect of the week commencing 3rd December, 2007 to or in respect of the person or his/her dependants shall be increased by a sum equal to 100 per cent of that amount or €30.00 whichever is the greater.

The Minister for Finance consents to these Regulations.

The effect of these Regulations is to increase, in respect of the week commencing 3rd December, 2007, the maximum weekly rate of maintenance allowance payable under

Section 44

of the

Health Act 1947

by a sum equal to one hundred per cent of that amount or €30.00, whichever is the greater.
