S.I. No. 694/2007 - European Communities (Seed Potatoes) (Amendment) Regulations 2007

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Seed Potatoes) (Amendment) Regulations 2007.

2. A reference made in the European Communities (Seed Potatoes) Regulations 1980 (

S.I. No. 343 of 1980

) to a Directive repealed by Article 29 of Council Directive No. 2002/56/EC of 13 June 2002 (“the Consolidated Directive”) is construed as a reference to the Consolidated Directive and should be read in accordance with the correlation table set out in Annex V to the Consolidated Directive.

These Regulations transpose Council Directive 2002/56/EC. Because Council Directive 66/403/EEC has been frequently and substantially amended, for reasons of clarity and rationality, it has been codified in the form of Council Directive 2002/56/EC.
