1. This Order may be cited as the Litter Pollution (Increased Notice Payment) Order 2007.
2. In this Order, “the
Litter Pollution Act 1997
” means the
Litter Pollution Act, 1997
(No. 12 of 1997) as amended by the
Waste Management (Amendment) Act, 2001
(No. 36 of 2001) and Part 4 of the
Protection of the Environment Act 2003
(No. 27 of 2003).
3. This Order shall come into operation on the 30th September 2007.
4. Section 28 (1) (
b
) of the
Litter Pollution Act 1997
is amended by—
the substitution of “€150” for “€125”.

This order amends section 28(1)(
b
) of the
Litter Pollution Act, 1997
as amended by Section 14(3) of the
Waste Management (Amendment) Act, 2001
and provides that the amount of the on-the-spot litter fine shall be €150.
