S.I. No. 238/2007 - Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) (No. 2) Regulations 2007

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) (No. 2) Regulations 2007.

(2) The collective citation “the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1964 to 2007” shall include these Regulations.

2. The organisation specified in the Schedule to these Regulations is hereby designated as an approved organisation for the purposes of

Section 4

of the

Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963

(No. 24 of 1963).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

Section 4

of the

Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963

provides for the transfer of pensionable service in the case of staff transfers between the Civil Service and “approved organisations”, and between one “approved organisation” and another. These regulations designate the organisation set out in the schedule as an “approved organisation”.
