1. (1) This order comes into operation on 22nd March 2007.
2. The bodies specified in the Schedule are prescribed for the purposes of paragraph (
j
) of the definition of “State authority” in
section 7
(1) of the
National Treasury Management Agency (Amendment) Act 2000

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not a legal part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation)
This Order designates certain statutory health bodies as State authorities under
section 7
of the
National Treasury Management Agency (Amendment) Act 2000
. This designation enables the delegation to the State Claims Agency of responsibility for the management of clinical negligence claims and risks incurred by the health bodies concerned.
