S.I. No. 686/2006 - Garda Síochána (Retirement) (No. 2) Regulations 2006

1. These regulations may be cited as the Garda Síochána (Retirement) (No. 2) Regulations 2006.

2. Paragraph 6(a)(iii) of the Garda Síochána (Retirement) (No. 2) Regulations 1951 (

S.I. No. 335 of 1951

) is amended by the substitution of “sixty years” for “fifty-seven years”.

The Government approve of the making of the foregoing regulations.

These Regulations provide that members of the Garda Síochána in the ranks of Garda, Sergeant and Inspector shall retire on reaching the age of 60 years.
