S.I. No. 538/2006 - European Communities (Driving Theoretical Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 2006

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as European Communities (Driving Theoretical Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 2006.

(2) These Regulations come into operation on 21st October 2006.

2. Regulation 4 of the European Communities (Driving Theoretical Tests) Regulations 2003 (

S.I. No 52 of 2003

) is amended by substituting for paragraph 4 the following

“(4) The theoretical test shall be divided into 4 tests as follows

(a) a test, in relation to vehicles of categories B, and W,

(b) a test, in relation to vehicles of categories A, and M,

(c) a test, in relation to vehicles of category C.

(d) a test, in relation to vehicles of category D.”

Explanatory Note

These regulations revise the categories of driving theoretical test to provide for a separate motorcycle and moped test.
