S.I. No. 529/2006 - Criminal Justice Act 2006 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2006

1. This Order may be cited as the

Criminal Justice Act 2006

(Commencement (No. 2) Order 2006.

2. In this Order “Act of 2006” means the

Criminal Justice Act 2006

(No. 26 of 2006).

3. The 16th day of October 2006 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Act of 2006 shall come into operation

(

a

) sections 120, 121(a), 128, 129 and 130, and

(

b

) section 158 of, and Schedule 4 to, the Act of 2006 in so far as they relate to the amendment of the provision of the

Children Act 2001

(No. 24 of 2001 specified at reference number 5 of that Schedule.
