1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) (Amendment) (No. 2 Regulations 2006.

2. The European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) Regulations 2003 (

S.I. No. 83 of 2003

) are amended, in Regulation 2(1), by substituting for the definition of “Directive of 1991” the following-

“ ‘Directive of 1991’ means Council Directive 91/414/EEC of 15 July 1991

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation)

These Regulations amend Council Directive 91/414/EEC to include MCPA, MCPB chlorpyrifos, chlorpyrifos-methyl, mancozeb, maneb, metiram, warfarin, tolylfluanid forchlorfenuron, indoxacarb, oxamyl, 1-methylcyclopropene, clodinafop, pirimicarb rimsulfuron, tolclofos-methyl and triticonazole as active substances.
