S.I. No. 906/2005 - European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Movement of Pet Birds) (Amendment) Regulations 2005

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Avian Influenza (Control on Movement of Pet Birds)(Amendment) Regulations 2005.

2. The European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Movement of Pet Birds Regulations 2005 (

S.I No. 708 of 2005

) are amended by -

(a) the substitution, for the definition of “Commission Decision” in regulation 2(1), of -

“ ‘Commission Decision’ means Commission Decision 2005/759/EC

of 27 October 2005 and the corrigenda to Commission Decision 2005/759/EC of 5 November 2005 as amended by Commission Decision 2005/862/EC of 30 November 2005’;”,

(b) the substitution, for the definition of “Commission Decision” in regulation 2(1), of -

“ ‘third country’ means a country (other than Andorra, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway San Marino, Switzerland or the Vatican City State) that is not a member state of the European Community’;”,

(C) the substitution, for “four birds” in regulation 4(1), of “ ‘five birds’;”,

(No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Decision 2005/862/EC
