1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) (Amendment) (No. 6 Regulations 2005.

2. The European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) Regulations 2003 (

S.I. No. 83 of 2003

) are amended, in Regulation 2(1), by substituting for the definition of “Directive of 1991” the following—

“ ‘Directive of 1991’ means Council Directive 91/414/EEC of 15 July 1991
