S.I. No. 555/2005 - European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China) (Amendment) Regulations 2005

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China) (Amendment) Regulations 2005.

2. The European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China) Regulations 2002 (

S.I No. 141 of 2002

) as amended by the European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China (Amendment) Regulations 2002 (

S.I. No 559 of 2002

), the European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China (Amendment) Regulations 2003 (

S.I. No 49 of 2003

) and by the European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China (Amendment) Regulations 2004 (

S.I. No 537 of 2004

) are amended by-

a) The substitution for the definition of “Commission Decision” in regulation 2(1) of-

“Commission Decision” means Commission Decision No. 2002/994/EC

of 20 December 2002 as amended by Commission Decision No. 2003/72/EC

of 30 January 2003, Commission Decision No. 2004/621/EC

of 26 August 2004 and Commission Decision 2005/573 of 22 July 2005;

b) The substitution of Regulation 8(2)(a) by

“an animal product to which Article 2(2) of the Commission Decision refers”.

(No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Decision 2005/573/EC
