1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Pesticide Residues) (Cereals) (Amendment) Regulations 2005.

2. The European Communities (Pesticide Residues)(Cereals) Regulations 1999 (

S.I. No. 181 of 1999

) is amended in Regulation 2(1) by substituting for the definition of “Directive” the following-

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation)

These Regulations amend regulations on the fixing of maximum residue levels for pesticides in and on cereals by adding maximum pesticide reside levels for isoxaflutole trifloxystrobin, carfentrazone-ethyl, mecoprop, mecoprop-p, maleic hydrazide and fenamidone as shown in Annex I of Commission Directive 2005/37/EC to Annex II Part A of Commission Directive 86/362/EEC and replacing the maximum pesticide residue levels for propyzamide in Annex II Part A of Commission Directive 86/362/EEC with those shown in Annex II of Commission Directive 2005/37/EC .
