S.I. No. 315/2005 - Amalgamation of Marriage Registrars' Districts (Number 1) Order, 2005

1. This order may be cited as the Amalgamation of Marriage Registrars' Districts (Number 1) Order, 2005.

2. For the purposes of Section 57 of the Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1844, as amended by Section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, the District of

Loughrea

is hereby amalgamated with the District of

Galway.

3. The district formed as a result of Article 2 shall be referred to as the District of Galway and shall comprise the County of Galway.

4. This order shall come into operation on the 1

st

day of July, 2005.
