1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2004 and comes into operation on 30 September 2004.
2. The European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) Regulations 2002 (
S.I. No. 198 of 2002
) are amended—
(
a
) in Regulation 2(1) by substituting in the definition of fodder plants for—
(i)
“Festuca pratensis Huds. x Lolium multiflorum Lam.”
the following
“Festuca spp. x Lolium spp.”,
and
(ii)
“Hybrid resulting from the crossing of tall fescue with Italian ryegrass (including Wester-world ryegrass) (x festulolium)
” the following
“Hybrids resulting from the crossing of a species of the genus Festuca with a species of the genus Lolium (x Festulolium)”,
(
b
) in regulation 2(2) by substituting for “and Council Directive 2001/64/EC of 31 August 2001

) are revoked.
