3. In the case of an animal born on his or her holding and identified in accordance with the 1999 Order, a keeper shall within seven days of the date on which the animal has been so identified complete and return an application form or an animal event sheet in respect of that animal in accordance with paragraph (

a

) or (

(

a

) Where the application is not returned electronically, the keeper shall

(i) sign the application form at the place indicated, and

(ii) return the application form by post to the address indicated.

(

b

) Where the application is completed and returned electronically, no signature shall be required.

(

c

) Where the animal event sheet is completed and returned electronically, no signature shall be required.

These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Identification and Registration of Bovine Animals) Regulations, 2004.

In these Regulations the “1999 Regulations” means the European Communities (Identification and Registration of Bovine Animals) Regulations, 1999 (S.I. 276 of 1999).

The following Regulation is substituted for Regulation 3 of the 1999 Regulations
