S.I. No. 66/2003 - European Communities (Trade With Iraq) (Amendment) Regulations 2003

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Trade with Iraq) (Amendment) Regulations 2003.

2. The European Communities (Trade with Iraq) Regulations 1997 (

S.I. No. 370 of 1997

) are amended by substituting the following for Regulation 2

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

The effect of this Order is to further amend the Statutory Instrument that provided for penalties for infringements of Council Regulation (EC) No. 2465/96 prohibiting trade with Iraq, to take account of amendments made to Annex II. These amendments give effect to Commission Regulation (EC) No. 208/2003 of 3 February 2003.
