1. This Order may be cited as the Motor Vehicle (Duties and Licences) Act 2003 (Commencement) Order, 2003.

day of October 2003 is hereby appointed to be the day on which

section 8

of the

Motor Vehicle (Duties and Licences) Act 2003

, shall come into operation.

This Order brings into effect

section 8

of the

Motor Vehicle (Duties and Licences Act 2003

to facilitate the introduction of motor tax online.

The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by

section 8

(2) of the

Motor Vehicle (Duties and Licences) Act 2003

, hereby orders as follows
