S.I. No. 268/2003 - The Blood Transfusion Service Board (Establishment) Order, 1965 (Amendment) Order, 2003

1. This Order may be cited as the Blood Transfusion Service Board (Establishment) Order, 1965 (Amendment) Order, 2003.

2. Article 4 of the Blood Transfusion Service Board (Establishment) Order, 1965 (

S.I. No. 78 of 1965

) as amended by the Blood Transfusion Service Board

(Establishment)(Amendment) Order, 1988 (

S.I. No. 209 of 1988

) and further amended by the Blood Transfusion Service Board (Establishment) (Amendment) Order, 2000 (

S.I. No. 22 of 2000

) is hereby amended by the addition thereto of the following paragraph

“(1) to make available clotting factor concentrates which do not contain blood or blood products, and other biological medicinal agents including recombinant protein preparations, used for the treatment of coagulation disorders and other congenital or acquired disorders that are characterized by diminished levels of, or dysfunctional forms of, plasma proteins”.
