S.I. No. 535/2002 - European Communities (Pesticide Residues) (Products of Plant Origin, Including Fruit and Vegetables) (Amendment) Regulations, 2002

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Pesticide Residues) (Products of Plant Origin, including Fruit and Vegetables (Amendment) Regulations, 2002.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation in respect of Lindane, Quintozene and Permethrin on 1 December 2002, in respect of ethion in tea on 31 December 2002, in respect of Bentazone, Pyridate and Metsulfuron-methyl, Oxydemeton-methyl Dimethoate and Formothion on 1 January 2003, in respect of Parathion on 1 May 2003 and in respect of abamectin, azocyclotin and cyhexatin, bifenthrin bitertanol, bromopropylate, clofentezine, cyromazine, fenpropimorph flucytrinate, hexaconazole, methacrifos, myclobutanil, pencanzole prochloraz, profenofos, Resmethrin, Tridemorph, and triadimefon and triadimenol on 1 August 2003.

2. First Schedule, Part 2, Annex II of the European Communities (Pesticide Residues) (Products of Plant Origin, including Fruit and Vegetables Regulations, 1999 (

S.I. No. 179 of 1999

) is replaced by Schedule one to these Regulations.

These Regulations amend existing regulations on the maximum residue levels for pesticide residues in and on products of plant origin, including fruit and vegetables.
