Explanatory Note

This Order provides for the dissolution of specified joint drainage committees and the transfer of their functions to the respective local authorities, with effect from 1 January, 2003.

The Minister for the Environment and Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by

section 231

of the

Local Government Act, 2001

(No. 37 of 2001) and after consultation with the Minister for Finance hereby orders as follows:-
