1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Reduction of Certain Economic Relations with the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) (Revocation Regulations 2002.

2. The European Communities (Reduction of Certain Economic Relations with the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) Regulations 1998 (

S.I. No. 312 of 1998

) are revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of this Order, which gives effect to Council Regulation (EC) No. 2156/2001 of 5 November 2001, is to revoke the Statutory Instrument that provided for penalties for breaches of the EU prohibition on the reduction of certain economic relations with the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
