S.I. No. 80/2001 - Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (Section 29A(4)) Order, 2001

1. This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (Section 29A(4)) Order, 2001.

2. Subsection (3) of section 29A (inserted by

section 3

of the

Diseases of Animals (Amendment) Act, 2001

(No. 3 of 2001)) of the

Diseases of Animals Act, 1966

, shall have effect for the period of one month from the making of this Order within the whole of the State.

March 2001, the movements of animals within 30 days of purchase, save under permit.

I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by

sections 3

and 29A(4) (inserted by

section 3

of the

Diseases of Animals (Amendment) Act, 2001

(No. 3 of 2001)) of the

Diseases of Animals Act, 1966

(No. 6 of 1966) (as adapted by the Agriculture and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1999 (

)), and consider it reasonably necessary to avoid the outbreak of disease within the State, hereby order as follows
