S.I. No. 406/2001 - District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days (Listowel, Newcastle West and Tarbert) Order, 2001.

1. (a) This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days (Listowel, Newcastle West and Tarbert) Order, 2001.

(b) This Order shall come into operation on 11th September, 2001.

2. The First Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 (

S.I. No. 5 of 1961

), is hereby amended by -

(a) the deletion at reference number 117 of the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5),

(b) the substitution at reference number 114 for the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5) of the following

Counties of Kerry and Limerick

District Court Area of Listowel

Listowel -

Second Thursday, Fourth Tuesday and Fourth Wednesday in each month at 11.00 a.m.

The area comprising -

4. The Schedule to the District Court Areas (Amendment) Order, 1970 (

), is hereby amended at reference number 13 in column (4) by the deletion of “and Tarbert,” and “and 117,”.

5. Business transacted in the District Court that is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

This order

(1) provides for the amalgamation of the District Court Area of Tarbert with the District Court Area of Listowel and

(2) varies the days on which the District Court at Newcastle West sits to the Third Thursday and Second Friday in each month at 11.00 a.m.
