S.I. No. 380/2001 - Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 2001 (Commencement Order), 2001

1. This Order may be cited as the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 2001 (Commencement) Order, 2001.

2. The

day of July, 2001, is appointed as the day on which —

(a) the repeal of section 23 of the Principal Act, effected by

section 4

of the

Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 2001

(No. 23 of 2001), save in so far as the said section 23 relates to a person appointed under that section, who immediately before such day held —

(i) office as chief executive officer of a vocational education committee,

(ii) office as an officer of such a committee (other than chief executive officer), or

(iii) any other position under that section, and

(b) sections 11, 12, 15 and 20, of the second-mentioned Act,

shall come into operation.
