S.I. No. 367/2001 - District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days (Askeaton and Rathkeale) Order, 2001.

1. (a) This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days (Askeaton and Rathkeale) Order, 2001.

(b) This Order shall come into operation on 1 August, 2001.

2. The First Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 (

S.I. No. 5 of 1961

), is hereby amended by -

(a) the deletion at reference number 148 of the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5),

and

(b) the substitution at reference number 157 for the matter in columns (4) and (5) of the following

“

Rathkeale -

The area comprising the District Electoral Divisions of Askeaton East, Askeaton West, Ballingarry, Ballyallinan, Ballygrennan, Ballynacarriga, Castletown (Rathkeale), Croagh, Dromard, Iveruss, Kilcornan, Kildimo, Kilscannell, Nantinan, Pallaskenry, Rathkeale Rural, Rathkeale Urban and Riddlestown in the county of Limerick.

Fourth Thursday in each month at 11.00 a.m.

Fourth Friday in each month at 11.00 a.m.

3. The Second Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 (

S.I. No. 5 of 1961

), is hereby amended by -

(a) the deletion at reference number 131 of the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5),

and

(b) the substitution at reference number 138 for the matter in columns (4) and (5) of the following

4. The Schedule to the District Court Areas (Amendment) Order, 1970 (

S.I. No. 161 of 1970

), is hereby amended at reference number 13 in column (4) by the deletion of “Askeaton,” and “148,”.

5. Business transacted in the District Court that is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

This order provides for the amalgamation of the District Court Area of Askeaton with the District Court Area of Rathkeale and varies the days on which the District Court at Rathkeale sits to the Fourth Thursday and Fourth Friday in each month at 11 a.m.
