S.I. No. 286/2001 - District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days and Hours (Castlepollard and Delvin) Order, 2001.

1. (a) This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas Amendment) and Variation of Days and Hours (Castlepollard and Delvin) Order, 2001.

(b) This Order shall come into operation on 1 September, 2001.

2. The First Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 (

S.I. No. 5 of 1961

), is hereby amended by -

(a) the deletion at reference number 249 of the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5),

and

(b) the substitution at reference number 248 for the matter in columns (4) and (5) of the following

“

Castlepollard -

Fourth Friday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and at 2.00 p.m.

The area comprising the District Electoral Divisions of Ballinlough, Ballyhealy, Bracklin, Clonarney, Collinstown, Coole, Coolure, Copperalley, Delvin, Faughalstown, Finnea, Fore East, Fore West, Glore, Hilltown, Kilcumny, Killua, Killulagh, Kilpatrick, Kinturk, Knockarrow and Rosmead in the county of Westmeath.

3. The Second Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 (

S.I. No. 5 of 1961

), is hereby amended by -

(a) the deletion at reference number 213 of the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5),

and

(b) the substitution at reference number 212 for the matter in columns (4) and (5) of the following

“

4. The Schedule to the District Court Areas (Amendment) Order, 1970 (

S.I. No. 161 of 1970

), is hereby amended at reference number 9 in column (4) by the deletion of “Delvin,” and “249,”.

5. Business transacted in the District Court that is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

This order provides for the amalgamation of the District Court Area of Delvin with the District Court Area of Castlepollard and provides for a change in the days and times on which Castlepollard District Court sits to the Fourth Friday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and at 2.00 p.m.
