This Order appoints 1 July, 2001 as the date for coming into operation of the provisions of

section 169

of the

Finance Act, 2001

. This section amends the definitions of “category B vehicle” and “crew cab” in

section 130

of the

Finance Act, 1992

in order to revise the measurement criteria used to classify certain vehicles into the various categories that determine the rate of vehicle registration tax to be paid.
