2. The Schedule to the

National Council for Educational Awards Act, 1979

(Designation of Institutions) Order, 1980 (

S.I. No. 252 of 1980

), is hereby amended by the substitution for "College of Industrial Relations, Sandford Road, Dublin." of "National College of Ireland.".

I, Micheál Martin, Minister for Education and Science, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by

section 20

(2) of the

National Council for Educational Awards Act, 1979

(No. 30 of 1979) (as adapted by the Public Service (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1987 (

S.I. No. 81 of 1987

), and the Education (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 (

S.I. No. 430 of 1997

)), with the concurrence of the Minister for Finance and after consultation with the National Council for Educational Awards, hereby make the following Order
