S.I. No. 430/1998 - Valuation Act, 1988 (Global Valuation: Electricity Supply Board) (Apportionment) Order, 1998

1. This Order may be cited as the Valuation Act, 1988 (Global Valuation: Electricity Supply Board)(Apportionment) Order, 1998.

2. The Valuation Act, 1988, (Global Valuation: Electricity Supply Board)(Apportionment) Order, 1988, and the Valuation Act, 1988, (Global Valuation: Electricity Supply Board)(Apportionment) Order, 1993, are hereby revoked.

3. The Commissioner of Valuation shall apportion the global valuation of the Electricity Supply Board, determined in pursuance of the Valuation Act, 1988, (Global Valuation: Electricity Supply Board) Order, 1988, between rating authorities as follows

(a) 75% of the valuation of an electricity generating station, including the items specified in paragraph 7 of the Second Schedule to the

Valuation Act, 1988

, situated in a county or county borough shall be apportioned to the council of the county or corporation of the borough;

(b) the balance of the global valuation shall be apportioned to each rating authority in the proportion, expressed as a percentage, which the population in its area, as determined by the census of population taken under the Statistics (Census of Population) Order, 1996 (

), bears to the population of the State, as so determined.
