S.I. No. 390/1998 - District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days (No. 9) Order, 1998

1. (1) (This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days (No. 9) Order, 1998.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 13th day of October, 1998.

2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 (

S.I. No. 5 of 1961

).

3. The First Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby amended by -

(a) the deletion of the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5) at reference number 151,

(b) the substitution for the matter in column (5) at reference number 152 of the following

"the area comprising the District Electoral Divisions of Ardpatrick, Ballymacshaneboy, Ballynabanogue, Bruree, Bulgaden, Colmanswell, Coolrus, Kilmallock, Rockhill, Tobernea, Ballylanders, Darragh, Duntryleague, Emlygrennan, Galbally, Glenbrohane, Griston, Kilfinnane, Kilflyn, Particles and Riversdale in the county of Limerick", and

(c) the substitution for the matter in column (4) at reference number 152 of the following

"Kilmallock -

First Friday in each month at 11.00 a.m.

Third Friday in each month at 11.00 a.m.".

4. The Second Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby amended by -

(a) the deletion of the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5) at reference number 134,

(b) the substitution for the matter in column (5) at reference number 135 of the following

"the area comprising the District Electoral Divisions of Ardpatrick, Ballymacshaneboy, Ballynabanogue, Bruree, Bulgaden, Colmanswell, Coolrus, Kilmallock, Rockhill, Tobernea, Ballylanders, Darragh, Duntryleague, Emlygrennan, Galbally, Glenbrohane, Griston, Kilfinnane, Kilflyn, Particles and Riversdale in the county of Limerick", and

(c) the substitution for the matter in column (4) at reference number 135 of the following

"Kilmallock -

First Friday in each month at 11.00 a.m.

Third Friday in each month at 11.00 a.m.".

5. The Schedule to the District Court Areas (Amendment) Order, 1970 (

S.I. No. 161 of 1970

), is hereby amended in column (4) at reference number 13 by the deletion of -

(a) "Kilfinane,", and

(b) "151,".

6. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order provides for the abolition of the District Court Area of Kilfinane and the amalgamation of the District Electoral Divisions which comprised that Area with the District Court Area of Kilmallock.
