1. These Regulations may be cited as the

Investor Compensation Act, 1998

(Prescription of Bodies) Regulations, 1998 and shall come into operation on the 1st day of August, 1998.

2. The following bodies are hereby prescribed as bodies which appear to the Minister to represent the financial services industry

Irish Brokers Association Limited

Irish Stock Exchange Limited

Irish Bankers Federation

Irish Association of Investment Managers.
