1. This Order may be cited as the

Control of Horses Act, 1996

(Commencement) Order, 1997.

2. (1) The 18th day of March, 1997, is hereby appointed as the day on which the

Control of Horses Act, 1996

(No. 37 of 1996), other than Part IV thereof, shall come into operation.

(2) The 5th day of March, 1997, is hereby appointed as the day on which Part IV of the

Control of Horses Act, 1996

, shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints 18th March, 1997, as the day on which the

Control of Horses Act, 1996

(No. 37 of 1996), other than Part IV thereof, comes into operation and also appoints 5th March, 1997, as the day on which Part IV of the

Control of Horses Act, 1996

, comes into operation.
