S.I. No. 498/1997 - Local Government Act, 1994 (Commencement) Order, 1997

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act, 1994, (Commencement) Order, 1997.

2. In this Order, "the Act" means the

Local Government Act, 1994

(No. 8 of 1994).

3. Section 34 of the Act shall come into operation on the first day of January, 1998.

4. Section 4(1) of and the First Schedule to the Act shall come into operation on the first day of January, 1998 to the extent specified in the Schedule to this Order.
