1. This Order may be cited as the Refugee Act, 1996 (Section 22(6) (

) ) (Designated Countries) Order, 1997.

2. Each of the countries specified hereunder is hereby designated a Party to the Convention determining the state responsible for examining applications for asylum lodged in one of the Member States of the European Communities, done at Dublin on the 15th day of June, 1990 (The Dublin Convention)

Austria, Belgium. Denmark, France, Greece, The Federal Republic of Germany, Ireland, Italy, The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

3. This Order shall come into operation on the 13th day of September 1997.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
