1. This Order may be cited as the

Local Government (Financial Provisions) Act, 1997

(Commencement) Order, 1997.

2. The

Local Government (Financial Provisions) Act, 1997

other than section 7 shall come into operation generally on the 1st day of July, 1997.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order commences all of the provisions of the

Local Government (Financial Provisions) Act, 1997

, except for section 7, with effect from 1 July, 1997.
