S.I. No. 74/1996 - Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1996.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1996.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1996.

2. The amount of levy payable under

section 2

of the

Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979

(No. 26 of 1979), shall—

(

a

) as regards milk, be 0.5 pence per gallon, and

(

b

) as regards animals slaughtered or exported live, be £2.50 per animal.

3. The Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1993 (

S.I. No. 115 of 1993

), are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations which came into effect on the 1st of April, 1996 prescribe new rates of disease levy on milk for processing and on bovine animals slaughtered or exported live.
