S.I. No. 39/1996 - Performers' Protection (Foreign Countries) (Amendment) Order, 1996

1. This Order may be cited as the Performers' Protection (Foreign Countries) (Amendment) Order, 1996.

2. The Performers' Protection (Foreign Countries) Order, 1978 (

S.I. No. 134 of 1978

) shall have effect as if after the expression "country of the Rome Convention" in Article 2 were added "or of the World Trade Organisation" .

3. The Performers' Protection (Foreign Countries) Order, 1978 (

S.I. No. 134 of 1978

), is hereby amended by the insertion after sub-paragraph (2) of Article 2 of the following sub-paragraph

"(3) In this Article "country of the World Trade Organisation" means a country which has ratified or has acceded to the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organisation Done at Marrakesh on the 15th day of April, 1994.".
