1. This Order may be cited as the

Bovine Diseases (Levies) (Amendment) Act, 1996

(Sections 6 and 7) (Commencement) Order, 1996.

2. The 1st day of June, 1996 is hereby fixed as the day on which

sections 6

and

7

of the

Bovine Diseases (Levies) (Amendment) Act, 1996

(No. 5 of 1996), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides for the bringing into operation of

sections 6

and

7

of the

Bovine Diseases (Levies) (Amendment) Act, 1996

.

Section 6 increases the fines in respect of offences under the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Acts, 1979 to 1996 and Section 7 increases the fines in respect of offences under the Diseases of Animals Acts, 1966 to 1996.
