1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Introduction of Organisms Harmful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) (Amendment) Regulations, 1995.

(2) The European Communities (Introduction of Organisms Harmful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) Regulations 1980 to 1994 and these Regulations may be cited together as the European Communities (Introduction of Organisms Harmful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) Regulations 1980 to 1995.

2. Regulations 2 of the European Communities (Introduction of Organisms Harmful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) Regulations, 1980 (

) is hereby amended—

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations implement the provisions of Commission Directive 94/61/EC which extends the period of provisional recognition of certain protected zones of the Community to 1 July, 1995, and corrects an error which occurs in the European Communities (Introduction of Organisms Harmful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) (Amendment) Regulations, 1993. (S.I. 408 of 1993).
