S.I. No. 217/1990 - Restriction of Imports From Iraq and Kuwait Order, 1990.

1. This Order may be cited as the Restriction of Imports from Iraq and Kuwait Order, 1990.

2. The importation into the State of goods that—

(

a

) fall within the Treaty establishing the

European Coal and Steel Community

signed at Paris in the 18th day of April, 1951, and

(

b

) are manufactured or produced in or consigned from Iraq or Kuwait ( other than goods in free circulation in a Member State of the European Communities),

is hereby prohibited save under and in accordance with a licence issued by the Minister for Industry and Commerce.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to prohibit, save under a licence issued by the Minister for Industry and Commerce, the import of goods manufactured or produced covered by the ECSC Treaty, from Iraq and Kuwait.
