1. This order may be cited as the

Housing Act, 1988

(Commencement) Order, 1989.

Sections 9

(1) of the

Housing Act, 1988

shall come into operation generally on the 1st day of April, 1989.

Section 30

(1) of the

Housing Act, 1988

and the Schedule to that Act shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1989 for the purpose of effecting the repeal of the enactments specified in Column (2) of the Schedule to this order to the extent specified in Column (3) of that Schedule.
