S.I. No. 47/1987 - European Communities (Potato Ring Rot) Regulations, 1987.

1. These Regulations may be cited at the European Communities (potato Ring Rot) Regulations, 1987.

2. (1) The importation of potato tubers which have been produced in the Federal Republic of Germany is hereby prohibited.

(2) Any person who contravenes paragraph (1) of this Regulation shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1,000.

I, AUSTIN DEASY, Minister for Agriculture, considering there is an imminent danger of the introduction into the State of potato ring rot, (being a danger described in Article 9 of Council Directive No. 80/665/EEC

European Communities Act, 1972
