1. This Order may be cited as the Major Accident Hazards (Local Competent Authorities) (No. 2) Order, 1987.

2. Each of the public authorities specified in the first column of the Schedule to this Order shall be a Local Competent Authority for the functional area appearing in the second column of the Schedule opposite each entry in the first column for the purposes of the European Communities (Major Accident Hazards of Certain Industrial Activities) Regulations, 1986 (
