1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Fisheries and Forestry (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1986.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of February, 1986.

2. The name of the Department of State, the present name whereof is, in the Irish language, An Roinn Iascaigh agus Foraoiseachta and, in the English language, the Department of Fisheries and Forestry, is hereby altered, in the Irish language, to that of an Roinn Turasóireachta, Iascaigh agus Foraoiseachta and, in the English language, to that of the Department of Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry.

3. The title of the Minister having charge of a Department of State, whose present title is, in the Irish language, an tAire Iascaigh agus Foraoiseachta and, in the English language, the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, is hereby altered, in the Irish language, to that of an tAire Turasóireachta, Iascaigh agus Foraoiseachta and, in the English language, to that of the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry.

4. In any enactment—

(

a

) references to the Department of Fisheries and Forestry shall be construed as references to the Department of Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry;

b

) references to the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry shall be construed as references to the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order changes the name of the Department of Fisheries and Forestry to that of the Department of Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry and the title of the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry to that of the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry.

FISHERIES AND FORESTRY (ALTERATION OF NAME OF DEPARTMENT AND TITLE OF MINISTER) ORDER, 1986.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by

section 6

(1) of the

Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939

(No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows
