1. This Order may be cited as the
Companies (Amendment) Act, 1986
, (Commencement) Order, 1986.
2. Subject to paragraph 3 of this Order, the
Companies (Amendment) Act, 1986
(No. 25 of 1986) ( other than section 7 (1) (
a
) (ii)) shall come into operation on the 1st day of August, 1986.
3. Each provision of the
Companies (Amendment) Act, 1986
(other than section 7 (1) (
a
) (ii) and subsections (7) and (8) of section 8), shall apply as respects the matters specified in section 25 (5) (
a
) of that Act for each financial year of a company beginning after the 31st day of December, 1986.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
The purpose of this Order is to bring into effect the
Companies (Amendment) Act, 1986
, which provides for new requirements in relation to the preparation, publication and auditing of the accounts of public and private limited companies.
